After you have placed the Scavenger building in your camp, the Craftsman building is available to be built. The Craftsman allows you to combine Components to create Badges which can be equipped on your survivors. Badges provide additional stats to your character, such as health, damage, and critical chance.

To craft a badge, tap the Craftsman and then the tool icon. In this menu, you can combine Components to create Badges. Badges of higher rarity provide better benefits for your Heroes and Survivors.

The following are required to craft a Badge:
  • One Badge Fragment Component of any rarity
  • Four other Components of any rarity: Cloth, Metal, Chemicals, or Edibles in any combination
  • A small amount of Supplies, based on your Council level
By using Components of a higher rarity, you increase your chances of getting higher rarity Badges.

Once you have selected 5 Components to use to Create a Badge, you can see the range of possible rarities your Badge could be (for example, “Uncommon to Epic”).

By using Components of a higher rarity, you increase your chances of getting higher rarity Badges. If you’re following a specific recipe, then higher rarities will also increase your chances of crafting your desired badge effect - up to 100% chance if the Badge Fragment and all Components are Legendary.
