The Distance is an exciting new feature that pushes all your survivors to the limit!
To play The Distance, you need to have upgraded your Council to Level 18 or higher. There are 21 Distance missions in total that reward you with great prizes, such as tokens, weapons and armor, and the new crafting components! The further you progress, the more challenging the missions get and the better the rewards will be.
The health of your survivors isn’t healed after you complete or flee from a mission, but you can use Gold to Rest, restoring a percentage of health to all of your surviving characters once after every mission you complete. Once a survivor runs out of health, they are “Out of Action” and cannot be used again until The Distance has been reset. While on a Distance mission, if one of your survivors is defeated, you can still try to complete the mission until your whole team is lost or you flee.
If you accomplish a mission objective only partially before your team is lost or you flee, the progress will carry over to your next attempt. However, enemies’ health will be returned to full between attempts. Taking down one enemy to advance the mission Objective is better than partially damaging lots of enemies.
If you only have one or two Survivors still standing, you can still start a mission, but success will be hard to achieve. You can make Radio calls or unlock Heroes and they will be available for you to use right away!
The Distance lasts 24 hours and begins every Tuesday and Saturday. Once the timer for the event expires, no new Missions can be started. Every new Distance event will start from the beginning, but possibly with a different set of enemies and mission objectives for you to face.
