There are three important time periods when discussing Guild Wars:
- A Battle is a single 22-hour match-up between two competing Guilds.
- A War is a week-long event in which Battles can be played.
- A Season is a month-long period in which Guilds accumulate Victory Points from all the Battles played in that time.
The sign-up for battles begins on Mondays at 8AM UTC time, that's when you can sign up for that week's battles. Each battle sign-up ends 2 hours before the battle begins.
